"B" PREPARED!

This is the second installment of the ABC project! Can you spot all of the B's?

Again, the main point of this project is to be experimenting different designs, styles, and methods. I spent far too long on this one hahah I really got into some of them =]

So what do you guys think? Any more or less successful? Improvements? Critique?

Thanks for checking it out!

Looking good, Rico! This made me laugh, your Incorporation of "B" in some of your images are extremely witty. Love the butt chin.

I think your As were more obvious, but not any more or less successful. I like the cats style bestest.

Cool exploration of styles. I think your biggest successes are the little dragon and the purple mountains--but all the exploration is valuable!

Haha I like all of your characters, they're all very different!

First I'd like to comment on the coloring. You're getting really good at incorporating textures, especially on that dragon and those mountains. Your color schemes compliment the textures and they work together well. I also like the texture you actually painted on the pickle (you did paint it right? haha)

I also like how some of your characters don't have any outlines, and you're learning how to be successful with no outlines. I also like your outlines too, I like both haha.

I agree with Monica, your B's are a lot more subtle than the A's, and I like this because it means you're controlling the letters, they're not controlling you. Plus we kind of have to look for them and that makes it interesting and keeps us looking at the images.

My only suggestion on this one is to keep trying to loosen up. There is great fluidity on the dragon, he seems looser and I get a good sense of fluidity on the butt chin guy's face haha. He doesn't seem tight or controlled like say, B face guy. B face guy has very hard features and a very perfectly circular smile, and very hard shoulders. Does that make sense to you? And I don't mean to say that you should completely change your style because I get what you're trying to do. There just needs to be a subtle change, just a little more fluidity. I hope this part made sense haha it's so hard to explain!

Overall I really like this and I think you're improving lots. I'm excited to see more
